For Halibut we used very stiff rod to bring up those barn door up from the bottom and also when fishing real deep I use electric reel to make it easier for my customer.

This past season we had the biggest halibut I have ever see in my life live, it took 3 guys to bring this fish to the boat with a battle for over 2 hours, from the deep of 300 feet and when back down 3 time to the bottom.

More interesting we had a tangles of 3 fishing line together because a 5.6 feet blue shark decide to play with us and when around all my line as you will see in the video the size difference between the two of them.
That is what fishing is about a life time memory.
