Our Pacific waters are home to many prized fish that most anglers are eager to add to their catch list. It is also home to some of the largest mammals on the planet. During our operating season waters are teaming with salmon returning to spawn. Our rocky, volcanically created, underwater structures are home to countless types of cod and monster size lingcod and halibut. Schools of anchovies, herring and plankton enrich these waters bringing with them an even bigger fish. These salt waters are a playground to many different species of skates, sharks, whales, porpoises and seals. Abundance of wildlife can be seen along the coast and in the air. You’ll encounter diving waterfowl, fishing herrons, opportunistic seagulls and keen-eyed eagles all use these waters to provide for themselves and their young ones. Rainforests along the coast are home to deer, moose, elk and cougars. If you are lucky you just might spot a bear out for a wonder on a beach.
