Equipment onboard
I fish with single action reel for Salmon species (like a fly reel) you try it once and you will really enjoy a good fight. You will really feel the tugs between you and the fish it’s definitely a must try.
For Halibut in local waters(sooke/victoria), I fish all new level wind reels.(Pen Reel)
For Espenrenza off shore I use new electric reel, the biggest baddest electric you will ever see. It helps that you don’t have to crank from 300 feet every time you got a fish on, so you can continue catching. Its great when the bite is on, but you still have an option at anytime to bring the fish manually if you choose to do so.
I have all the coast guard approve safety gears onboard, life jacket, first aid kits ETC.
We will run as many as seven rods for halibut and as many as five trolling for salmon. We know how to maximize your catch.
I use a underwater camera on very sunny day with a monitor to view from the boat and see all the action under the boat you would never believe how many fish pass by and touch the bait without us knowing and how at time and come and look at it but do not take it so much to learn that is why i keep on going out there as much as i can and weather and tides are a big factor on the fishing in those area.
If you would like to see the under water camera in action just let me know and i will bring it with us and show you. It is a lots of work/time to set up but so much fun to watch on the TV screen. bring SD card with you and after the trip you can take you adventure video with you. Everything is possible just got to ask and i will do my best to make sure you have a life time memory of your fishing trip with me.
We love to use the best!
