Vancouver Island can be one of the best outdors-men getaways. Victoria is a capital of British Columbia and one of the premier destination spots. If visiting with your friends and family don’t miss a chance to get out on the water surrounding this port town. What else can be said about Victoria its the cleanest and beautiful city around with many thing to do in town. Its perfect for wife, girlfriend or family to visit and keep busy while the guys can get away for a fishing trip and bring back a big catch.

Sooke is about 1 hour drive from Victoria and for many years have been a secret spot of how good the fishing can be but with DFO regulations influx we have to keep in constant attention to rules that keep on changing all the time. So during the spring to early summer (March to June) we focus mainly on Halibut fishing and only fish very shallow water for the Halibut. Believe it or not our deepest line goes to 90 feet and at time even shallower. Which means you don’t exert yourself bringing in big fish and less chances for the monster to break away. On a very sunny day you could see the silhouettes of big halibut on the bottom. Even with closures and heavy ocean traffic around Sooke and Victoria those waters remain among the best fishing grounds in the pacific ocean.

Salmon, Halibut, Lingcod and many spices of Cod make their home in this fertile waters. But why take our word for it come and experience it for yourself and fall in love with our beautiful coast line and tugging of fish on your lines.
